I have been a member of VIVA Gallery in Viroqua, WI since 2005. I create stained glass windows and beaded jewelry. Most of the windows I design are commissions from local people and depict the natural beauty found in the hills of SW Wisconsin.
Making jewelry has become a passion of mine. Intricate and ancient beading techniques fascinate me. Whether it be N'Debele weave, peyote stitch, bead knitting or brick stitch, I find the various ways of working with beads, addictive. I create small, delicate work as well as large, bold, colorful arrangements of stones and glass.
My art therapy training taught me that process is so important in the making of art and that whatever it is that a person creates becomes their self portrait.
